The family of missing woman Amy Lynn Bradley have pleaded with anyone who has information on what really happened to her when she vanished without trace 27 years ago to come forward

Ever since Netflix added Amy Bradley Is Missing to the streaming service viewers have been hooked on finding out what happened to her.

Ever since the docuseries launched on July 16, it has sparked a fresh flurry of conversation and reported sightings of Amy Lynn Bradley, who was just 23 years old when she vanished in March 1998. She was on board the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship with her parents, Ron and Iva, and her younger brother Brad at the time.

Now her family have pleaded for anyone with information that can help them piece together what happened to Amy to come forward. Speaking to Joel Dommett and Emma Willis on ITV’s This Morning in the UK, Iva and Brad highlighted how several sightings have been reported since the series.

Iva said, “We’ve had individuals contacting us over the years and we got several sightings. We have followed everything right down until today, we’re still working on those leads.”

She then explained how they have been sent multiple pictures of women who look like Amy, with one even confirmed by forensics as a match.

However, nothing has led to the family actually making a confirmed sighting of Amy themselves. Iva admitted that since the show aired there have been “thousands” of tips and leads.

Meanwhile, Brad added, “We just need that one person who knows something to come forward and help us. We’re waiting on that one call that breaks this thing open.”

Things took a devastating turn for the Bradley family when, on the morning of March 24 1998, Amy’s parents found her missing without a trace. On March 23, Amy and Brad attended a party at the onboard nightclub with guests at the bash, including musician Alister ‘Yellow’ Douglas, who was a performer on the ship.

Amy headed back to her cabin at around 3:35 a.m. on March 24. Her father said he saw her asleep on the balcony around 5:30 a.m. By 6:15 a.m., she had vanished, and her cigarettes and lighter were also gone. The Bradley family immediately sought help from the ship’s staff and asked for passengers to be prevented from leaving the vessel. However, the crew did not act until the majority of the guests had disembarked.

No trace of Amy was ever found, despite days of helicopter and radar searches. Over the years, many theories on what may have happened to Amy have emerged. Alister Douglas was a person of interest after he was seen with Amy prior to her disappearance. However, he denied any involvement; he also passed a polygraph test and was subsequently never charged.

Amy’s family have a strong belief that she could have been abducted and trafficked. There were reported sightings of Amy in Curaçao and Barbados, which added to the speculation that she may have been trafficked into the sex trade. Witnesses described seeing a woman with matching tattoos who was being held against her will. Several photographs and leads were submitted to the authorities; however, none of the sightings were ever confirmed to be Amy.

The FBI continues to offer a reward of $25,000 for information that could lead to the discovery of Amy’s whereabouts. To this day, her family maintains a website dedicated to her case and has kept her belongings in the hope that she will return one day.
